Just a few rules and guidelines to protect everyones enjoyment of the NIS Forum.
On joining the forum please activate your account and introduce yourself in the section provided. Once this is done a forum moderator will change your status to Forum Member and the Forum Board will be open for you to view and make posts.
If no introduction is made within 28 days of opening your account, then we take it that you no longer want to be a forum member and will automatically de-activate your account.
If your account is not activated within 7 days then the account will be deleted.
The NIS reserve the right to deny access to the forum to anyone we feel is disrupting or may disrupt it for other members, we also reserve the right to remove any member from this forum, who is seen to be copying posts from this forum and pasting them onto other forums, and websites.
Multiple accounts are not allowed. If there are more than one person using the forum from the same computer (i.e. husband and wife etc) we will make an exception provided we are informed.
In the case of any unauthorized multiple accounts we will delete the one least used. Those who do use multiple accounts (with consent) should note that in the event of a member being banned from the forum, the software also bans the ip address and therefor would ban all accounts from that address.
Recruiting to other forums/websites/groups is not allowed. Anyone found to be doing so will be denied access to the forum. Links to other sites should be posted in the relevant section but we reserve the right to remove any we feel undermine the NIS.
Posts should be made in the correct section. Off topic items or posts in the wrong section may be moved, edited or deleted.
We have no problem with people debating,in fact we encourage it as long as it's done politely and non-aggressively and without any personal attacks. The NIS reserves the right to remove any posts or whole topics if we feel they have have breeched this rule. Some may be temporarily moved to the committee section and later returned.
Opinions given by members of the NIS committee in any topic are their own opinions and not necessarily that of the society unless stated so in their post/replies
If something you have posted disappears then think..... was it ~
a) offensive, inflammatory or likely to upset
b) the wrong forum for what you were posting
c) a mixture of both
Thank you for taking the time to read these rules/guidlines. Please enjoy the forum and feel free to make any suggestions or queries in the support sections or contact a member of the committee.
